See Modest Mouse

Modest Mouse fans have a mere 18 days left before We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank hits stores, but the overeager can satisfy their Mouse cravings by watching the video for the first single, “Dashboard,” here.

In keeping with the nautical theme of the album’s title, the video features a tall-tale involving frontman Isaac Brock as a sea-faring captain, a big boat, a bigger fish and a microphone instead of a hook. It makes sense when you see it. Sort of.

Around the time the album comes out on March 20, be sure to be on the lookout for the April issue of Paste, which features Modest Mouse as the issue’s cover story.
