Ben Lee Readies New LP

Just in case you haven't been reading Ben Lee's online journal on a daily basis, the Aussie songsmith is currently hard at work on his follow-up to 2005's Awake Is The New Sleep, which won four Aria Awards (Australia's Grammy equivalent).

The album, tentatively titled Ripe, is slated for a September release on New West Records, though an exact date has yet to be announced. Produced by John Alagia of Ben Folds fame, the record features guest appearances by Mandy Moore, Benji Madden of Good Charlotte, Sara Watkins of Nickel Creek and the members of Rooney.
