From Reggaeton to Venezuelan synth-pop, 11 Motown classics get a Latin-style remix treatment on Motown Remixed Volume 2, out May 10 on Universal/UMe records.
Featuring songs by Martha & The Vandellas, Teena Marie, and Smokey Robinson, and with multiple remixed offerings by The Temptations, the Jackson 5, and others, the album showcases the talents of Latin DJs and musicians such as David Elizondo, Andres Levin, and Cliff Christofaro.
“All I had to do was merely mention that each producer had the opportunity to work with these classic recordings and the response was the same for everyone; ‘Are you kidding?!’” compilation producer Rich Isaacson said in a recent statement. “The respect for the Motown sound is profound in the Latin Music community.”
