AthFest Details Announced

Details are in for the 11th annual AthFest, a mostly-regional art and music showcase in Athens, Ga. The event begins Wednesday, June 20 and continues through Sunday, June 24.

Headlining artists on two outdoor stages include Perpetual Groove, The Whigs and Drive-By Truckers. A club crawl comprised of 19 music venues, a series of rock documentaries at Cine, a juried artist market and the Flagpole Music Awards are among the festival’s other attractions.

As usual, Ghostmeat Records released a compilation CD in conjunction with the festival. This year, however, a second volume will be available June 19 in digital format only.
