Magnolia Electric Co. Ready for Tour, Box Set

Tomorrow, June 19, Magnolia Electric Co. begins a multi-national tour to promote its upcoming box set, Sojourner. Ready for release on August 7 by Secretly Canadian, the set includes Nashville Moon (recorded with Steve Albini), The Black Ram (recorded by David Lowery), the Sun Session EP (recorded in Memphis, of course) and Shohola, an album Jason Molina whipped together by himself at home.

The set also features a DVD of supposedly lonely tour footage titled The Road Becomes What You Leave, produced by Todd Chandler and Tim Sutton. Encased in a square wooden box that looks like something you might find cigars in, Sojourner also comes with Jason Molina artwork for your refrigerator and a nice little medallion and medicine-bag trinket.
