Alison Krauss is at home on tour

Alison Krauss and Union Station will turn civic center concerts into house parties when they go on tour with a cozy stage set by Hannah Price and Tony Award-winning lighting designer Howell Binkley (Jersey Boys, Steel Magnolias).

“The scenic set … creates the illusion of a large living room, complete with hanging pictures,” stated Cliff Miller, Allison Krauss’s production manager. The Illinois-born singer’s backdrop will feature a prominently displayed map of the American Southeast.

The tour follows this year’s release of A Hundred Years or More: A Collection, which features 16 songs never-before heard on an Alison Krauss-specific record (soundtrack excerpts, side projects and so on).
