Bat For Lashes announce first U.S. mini-tour

The British are coming! The British are coming! But this time there is just one of them, and she doesn’t wear a red coat; she wears sparkly headbands and warrior face paint.

Bat For Lashes, aka British singer/songwriter Natasha Khan, has announced a number of U.S. concert dates, scheduled in anticipation of her debut album’s American release on July 31.

Khan packs the record, Fur And Gold, with eerie dreamscapes and earnest fables, all held together by her confident delivery. Her sound has already won over Brits, including Radiohead’s Thom Yorke, and if the buzz from her first U.S. performance at this year’s South By Southwest festival was any indication, Bat For Lashes shows are can’t-miss events. Look forward to Paste's 4 to Watch piece in the forthcoming August issue.

U.S. dates scheduled:

July:
23 - Hoboken, N.J. @ Maxwells
25 - New York, N.Y. @ Knitting Factory
27 - Chicago, Ill. @ Schuba’s Tavern
28 - Minneapolis, Minn. @ 7th St. Entry
30 - San Francisco, Calif. @ Café du Nord
