Devendra Banhart reveals new album details

Devendra Banhart recently announced the name of his next album, Smokey Rolls Down Thunder Canyon, which has the slightly random sound of an anagram. Let’s mix the letters around and see what it might really mean:

Okay, maybe it’s just a regular title, hiding no secrets whatsoever. Produced by Banhart and Noah Georgeson, Smokey will hit stores Sept. 25 on XL Recordings. The 16-song track list includes “Cristobal,” “So Long Old Bean,” “samba Vexillographica” and “Seahorse,” all of which you may anagram on your own time.
