Tomorrow, Foo Fighters attempt to remind everyone how incredible they were in 1997 by releasing a remastered, deluxe edition of The Colour and Shape featuring six bonus tracks. No matter how many times the local alterna-buzz radio station overplays this album’s singles, they never lose potency. “Monkey Wrench” is pure Guitar Hero bliss, “My Hero" still charges kids up before high school sporting events, and do not even pretend that you have neither given nor received a mix CD ending with “Everlong.”
So, why the re-issue, if so many people own a slightly-scratched copy already? Foo Fighters have announced that their upcoming RCA album, Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace will be their first produced by Gil Norton (Doolittle, Bossanova, Trompe Le Monde) since The Colour and Shape.
The follow up to 2005's platinum-plus In Your Honor double disc, Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace will be Foo Fighters' sixth studio album.
Track list, sequence to be determined:
"The Pretender"
"Let It Die"
"Erase/Replace"
"Long Road To Ruin"
