The National on Letterman, tonight

Regardless of what The National says, do not stay out super late tonight. There is no way you have anything better to do around midnight on a Tuesday than watch Matt Berninger and his band on David Letterman. Don’t make excuses: momma always said nothing good happens on the roads after 10 p.m.

The band will “bring some friends along,” of unspecified number, to perform “Fake Empire” from its latest Beggars Banquet release, Boxer.
