TMBG release album, announce tour schedule

Frabjous day! They Might Be Giants have released their new album, The Else, on Idlewild/Zoe/Universal records. It's already a digital hit, having spent three weeks in the top spot on iTunes after its online-only debut in May. Check out one of five music videos to come here.

Produced by the Dust Brothers, The Else is TMBG’s 12th studio album – and number 13 is in clear sight. Kid-oriented Here Come the 123s, sequel to 2005’s Here Come the ABC’s, is due out later this year. According to Billboard.com, TMBG has also been composing songs for a Neil Gaiman-inspired animated movie. "A girl finds a door in her house that first opens to a brick wall,” TMBG's John Linnell stated, “but at night, there's a crawlspace, a portal to another world. It seems appealing at first but it becomes very dark."
