Avett Brothers to play 50 shows through December

The Avett Brothers don't even have to win the Americana Music Association's Group of the Year award, for which they are nominated, to make 2007 a doozy. Five years into its existence, the North Carolina trio just announced its longest U.S. tour ever. Call them "indie roots," call them what you will, they've met Conan O'Brien and everything, so labels hardly matter anymore.

A-Bros' (nobody actually calls them that, and we promise never to again) latest album, Emotionalism, debuted on Ramseur Records in May at number one on Billboard's Top Heatseekers chart. Hear them out on the following dates:
