"I'm a serious artist," Morrissey insisted onstage at Atlanta's Chastain Park Amphitheatre last month, shortly before pulling off his shirt, tossing it into the crowd at his feet and disappearing backstage for a new wardrobe. "Only a very serious artist indeed would keep a rack of ironed cut-and-sewns behind the curtain, ready to go," one might have thought in response. "A man has to do what he has to do to maintain some dignity in a place with so many glowsticks."

Chastain Park was one of the dates a throat-strained Morrissey didn't cancel on his most recent tour but, being the true professional he claims to be, a crazyton of new shows have been scheduled as part of numerous U.S. residencies (just like real artists have!). True, none of them are at the exact same places he skipped out on before, but you folks in Pennsylvania get like five chances to make the drive to New York. C'mon now!

Don't make him go all that way just to hear you say, "Oh, I don't want to go out tonight."
