PJ Harvey hits the road

Mothers on both coasts, lock up your lusty teenage sons come the fall music season. PJ Harvey is back on the tour track, (or at least the beginnings of one) announcing two new play dates on the heels of the upcoming September 25 release of White Chalk, her first full-length LP of new material since 2004's Uh Huh Her.

The pint-sized (or is it man-sized?) five-foot-four brooding Brit, famous for her raucous on-stage antics and left-of-the-middle costuming choices, is almost as popular with her peers as she is with her fans, collaborating with the likes of Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme on The Desert Sessions, folk-favorite Marianne Faithfull, and ex-Screaming Trees bandmember Mark Lanegan.

Dates:

October
10 - New York, N.Y. @ The Beacon Theater
15 - Los Angeles, Calif. @ The Orpheum
