The Cure stands up America

Memories of unsuccessful dates past just came flooding back. Painful, tear-inducing thoughts of an empty chair across the table. Pensive, desperate looks for someone (anyone!) holding a rose. And now, to top it all off, The Cure is canceling its fall tour dates. Those aren't tears; we just have an eyelash in our eye, OK?

Ahem.

The Tripwire reports that the band's upcoming double-disc release isn't living up to Robert Smith and Co.'s "total satisfaction" just yet, so they're pushing the dates back to next spring. Better late than never, kids.
