The Killers have b-sides, want to sell them

The British have easy access to certain things that Americans do not: decent chocolate, egg and prawn sandwiches, Stonehenge... the list goes on a bit longer, and includes commercially released singles, which have lost popularity in these United States. The Killers keep their fellow countrymen in mind, however, and plan to release an album of b-sides by the end of the year. Frontman Brandon Flowers told Billboard that his band has about 15 such songs Killers idolizers over here have never legally paid for heard, "and we wanted to stick them on something for people to get to have them all together."

Some songs that tentatively, maybe, yes, no, possibly, probaby, surely, not-certainly will be on this record are "All the Pretty Faces" (b-side to "When You Were Young"), Joy Division cover "Shadowplay" (from Control), "Move Away" (from Spider Man 3) and "Ruby, Don't Take Your Love to Town," a Mel Tillis cover. Like last year, the band has also recorded a Christmas song for the Red AIDS charity, titled "Don't Shoot Me Santa."

The Killers are currently on tour to promote their latest, Sam's Town, and have tossed around ideas for LP number three. Flowers told Billboard it's likely to sound like Jacques Lu Cont's Thin White Duke Mix of their single "Mr. Brightside," which will absolutely, no kidding, be on the b-sides compilation.
