A long time ago, before Mo’ Wax Records de-facto went under, UNKLE ruled the land with moody remixes and ominous collaborations with the likes of Thom Yorke and Richard Ashcroft. It was a simpler time when critics would use words like “trip hop” and “bleep scene” and no one would bat an eye.
Well, a lot has certainly changed since then, but UNKLE keeps on truckin’. And for the first time, UK-based electronica act is crossing the pond and performing selected shows as a full band this October. The mini tour starts on October 18 in New York City as a part of the CMJ Music Marathon Conference and ends in Las Vegas 10 days later at the Vegoose Music Festival. All tickets go on sale this Friday (except for the Vegoose show, which is on sale now).
No word as to whether Josh Homme, Autolux, The Duke Spirit, or any of the other artists the band collaborated with for its latest, War Stories, will join the band on stage for any of the shows. Full dates below:
October :
18 - New York, NY @ Webster Hall
19 - Toronto, ONT @ Lee’s Place
20 - Chicago, IL @ Metro
26 - Los Angeles, CA @ Echoplex
27 - San Francisco, CA @ Mezzanine

The band also recently released a special edition of War Stories, which features a second instrumental disc as well as a 50-page booklet of photos of the recording process.
