As anticipated by various news organizations, Steve Jobs has announced that the new generation of iPods includes a wide-screen Nano with greater storage capabilities and a touchscreen iPod with wireless internet that will allow users to access the iTunes store directly as well as sample and buy digital tracks from Starbucks stores across the U.S.
According to the Associated Press, beginning October 2., "the Starbucks icon will light up on the iPod Touch whenever a user nears a Starbucks coffee shop that has Wi-Fi access. Users can then download the song that's playing in the shop or get a list of the 10 most recent songs played."
