Austin City Limits, the TV show, has a new season coming up, and it’s good news for fans of Norah Jones, The Decemberists, Arcade Fire, Van Morrison, John Mayer, Bloc Party… err, I guess it’s good news for just about everybody.
Now in its 33rd year, the show will air live performances by all the above mentioned artists(and many more) starting with the season premiere on October 6. In addition to the full slate of featured concerts, on January 26 the show will air a one hour special of the The Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival in San Fransisco. This year’s festival program features Emmylou Harris, Bela Fleck, and T Bone Burnett.
Also, for those of you interested in a good look at Van Morrison’s pores, ACL will now be shown in high definition on PBS HD channels (where available.)
