Stop the presses, next year's Oscars have already been decided. Brett Ratner and Chris Tucker, the one-two punch behind the Rush Hour franchise, are working on a new project: an adaptation of Mr. S: My Life with Frank Sinatra by George Jacobs, Sinatra's valet driver.
Tucker is set to play role of Jacobs in the "dishy tell-all," with Ratner putting his sequels on hold for a while to instead create an original film. The memoir tells stories about celebrities such as Marilyn Monroe and Elvis Presley, all centered around the "Zelg-like" figure of Jacobs.
"It's like a love story between two very unlikely people," said the film's writer William Stadiem, though it's important to note that he's referring here to Sinatra and his valet rather than Ratner and Tucker. Ratner has a first-look deal with New Line and the film looks to be in production next year.
