Edie Brickell's keyboardist killed

New Bohemians keyboardist Jeffrey Carter Albrecht was shot and killed early Monday morning, according to Dallas police.

The 34-year-old Albrecht attempted to kick in the door of the apartment next to his girlfriend's, said Dallas police department spokesperson Sgt. Gil Cerda. The neighbor, believing Albrecht to be a burglar, fired through the door.

Albrecht died of his wounds at the scene.
