John Fogerty straps on boots for new album, tour

If you're like me, when your local ISP goes down for an hour or 10, you start clawing your eyes out and praying to the dark one below, offering sacrifices in his name. Not unlike the wretched, unwanted spawn of Beelzebub himself, you must be inundated with pure, uncut internet - 27 hours a day, 666 days a year.

Well, if you want a fat slice of Americana served up on your plate, how about seeing swamp rock honkey-tonkster John Fogerty (listed as number 34 under Paste's 100 best living songwriters) as he comes a-rambling through your township, huh?

Yes, the CCR dynamo is hittin' the dusty trail come fall to promote the release of his latest album, Revival, due on Oct. 2nd.

That very same night, Fogerty will play that good ol' southern boy rock for David Letterman, kicking off his official tour just one month later.
