The Cure has rescheduled its next major tour from fall to spring, which should help out with the Reverse Seasonal Affective Disorder likely suffered from by many of its biggest fans (not because the sun offends their pale skin and black clothes, mind you, but because hello - allergy season). According to the band's official site, "It's all happening slightly later than we expected due to 'The Playoffs.'" Perhaps you'd assume that men who fancy mascara would hold lifelong resentment toward jock-types and their March Madness, but members of the Cure admit they "understand [the cities/teams] all have to live in hope!"
A Seattle gig at Key Arena was the only show on the fall itinerary not rescheduled as originally planned, having been replaced by the closing spot at Washington's Sasquatch! Music festival (all tickets for the Key Arena concert will be honored). The Cure will get 150 minutes of stagetime.
Robert Smith and company decided on this dramatic shift in concert dates to continue finishing their new, yet-to-be titled release on Suretone/Geffen, expected to drop sometime before the gigs listed below.
