It seems the Macca camp has been getting busy on the web as of late.
In addition to the flash-heavy Meyesight.com (a subscription-based site filled with images of Paul McCartney's paintings, as well as videos, photographs and famous quotes), there's MemoryAlmostFull.com/youtellme, which features technology that allows visitors to ask questions and receive an instant, pre-recorded video response from McCartney.
Answers are triggered by keywords, so you must ask very specific questions about song titles, names or dates, or you'll end up with an “I don't know" or a yawn from the bass-playing former Beatle.
When we asked McCartney what his favorite songs are, he replied, "Anything that's on the car radio," and went on to list everything from Sly Dunbar to Snow Patrol and Kaiser Chiefs.
Meanwhile, Marian from Spain asked McCartney if he was happy. She got: "That's a silly question, I can't answer that."
And when Bruno from France asked "Are you a homo?" McCartney didn't miss a beat, putting the immature Frenchman in his place: "In fact, I've now got a nervous twitch because of that question. Don't do that to me, whoever you are!"
The outcomes are sketchy at best, but scrolling through the library of canned answers (along with a passel of international Macca hecklers) is as close as most people will ever get to a private audience with a Beatle. Have at it, folks.
