One of the best aspects of New York City is the cultural events that literally exist nowhere else. A fine example of this is the New York Gypsy Festival, which is currently in full swing. A celebration of the often forgotten or ostracized culture, the event features 12 films from Bulgaria, Serbia, Hungary, Greece and the United States and numerous Q&A sessions with the films' directors and producers.
While much of the festival has already taken place, many screenings are still left including the world premier of Sándor C. Nagy's Mundi Romani. All of the events take place at Bulgarian Bar Mehanata, 113 Ludlow St. in the Lower East Side.
