This weekend, Chasin’ Gus’ Ghost premiered at the Woodstock Film Festival in New York. The documentary looks back on the history of American music, tracing it back to the days of jug bands. The film features '20s grassroots artists like Gus Cannon and his Jug Stompers, The Memphis Jug Band and the Dixieland Jug Blowers. It also includes performance footage, interviews and archival photographs of historical Americana bands spanning all the way into the '60s.
