New Soulsavers (ft. Lanegan and Oldham) drops stateside

The Soulsavers know how to keep good company. On It’s Not How Far You Fall, It’s the Way You Land, the English production duo’s second full-length record, which drops stateside on Oct. 16 via Columbia, features Mark Lanegan (Screaming Trees, Queens of the Stage) on vocals for eight of the album’s 11 tracks. Will Oldham (aka Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy) pinch hits on a cover of Neil Young’s “Through My Sails.” Oh, and did we mention that Spiritualized is their backing band live? See below for a handful of recently announced headlining US tour dates.

Head Soulsavers Rich Machin and Ian Glover also found time for seven originals, including the epic ethereality of “Revival.” (Catch the apocalyptic, big-tent-preaching, turn-of-the-century video below.) It’s Not How Far You Fall, It’s the Way You Land is the first album of new music from Soulsavers since the group's 2003 debut, Tough Guys Don't Dance.
