The trailer for Tim Burton's adaptation of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street is out, illustrating once again that Burton likes to direct pale people wearing black clothing. Witness:
The film tells the tale of a man seeking revenge for his wrongful imprisonment and the effects it had on his family. Sondheim's original opened in 1979 and won the Tony awards for Best Book, Best Score and Best Musical. Johnny Depp reunites with Tim Burton in the starring role, with Alan Rickman portraying the judge who sent Depp to prison.
Sweeney Todd opens on December 21.
