David Gray releases Greatest Hits, tour

David Gray releases Greatest Hits, tour

It’s been a long time coming for David Gray. The English singer/songwriter has spent over two decades honing his craft, demonstrating resilience even when he was dropped by his label prior to releasing White Ladder in 1998. So, what better way for him to commemorate the fact that he has gracefully survived all these years than with a collection of his best songs?

Tomorrow, Gray will be releasing Greatest Hits, a compilation of songs spanning from his early years all the way up until 2005’s Life in Slow Motion. In support of this release, the Brit will also be coming from over the Atlantic for a small North American tour. If you can’t catch any of his live shows then you can see him on TV. Gray will be appearing on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Dec. 11.

Excited about the old, but yearning for something new? Well, rest assured that the best-of album will also include two fresh tracks produced by Chris Thomas (Pink Floyd, Sex Pistols). Gray is also scheduled to be releasing his next full length album in the fall of 2008.
