Deerhunter's Bradford Cox to release Atlas Sound album

| | Comments (0)

Deerhunter frontman Bradford Cox has broken away from his fellow rockers for a moment. Although his band is finding considerable success, Cox is not letting himself fall into a comfort zone.

His first solo album under the Atlas Sound moniker, Let The Blind Lead Those Who Can See But Cannot Feel, comes out on Feb. 19 via Kranky. Dedicated to his best friend, the self-produced album delves into the musician's ideas of childhood and growing up through an assortment of drum rolls and electronic beats.

“I wanted to make an album that was uplifting but honest,” Cox said in a press release.
