Two weeks ago, Paste writer Jeremy Goldmeier mused, “Argh…you mean we have to stretch this Led Zeppelin circus out even further?” Of course, Mr. Goldmeier was referring to the delay of Led Zeppelin’s one-off reunion show due to Jimmy Page’s broken finger, but he could have also been referring to Paste’s extensive coverage of said reunion.
Well, Mr. Goldmeier, let’s stretch it further still. Today, we bring you news that a Led Zeppelin fan has paid £83,000 for two tickets to the concert on December 10. If you’re unfamiliar with British currency, £83,000 is roughly equal to 29,520,214 Hungarian Forint, or 1,316,123 Moroccan Dirhams. The money will benefit the BBC’s ‘Children in Need’ appeal. The Rolling Stones are taking notes on how to charge every one of their fans at least £83,000 during their next tour.
