Police make arrest in Linda Stein murder

Billboard.com reports that police have arrested Linda Stein's personal assistant in connection with Stein's murder last week.

Charges are pending against Natavia Lowery, whom police say "made statements implicating herself" in Stein's fatal beating. As The New York Daily News reported on Wednesday, police were interested in re-interviewing Lowery, the last person to see Stein alive. Lowery had previously been arrested on misdemeanor charges for identity theft and petty larceny, according to the Daily News.

Stein gained notoriety as manager for punk pioneers the Ramones, and later went on to become known as "realtor to the stars" for her real estate work with celebrities such as Steven Spielberg and Billy Joel. She was also active in raising money and awareness for breast cancer, which afflicted her latter years.
