Shins cover Magnetic Fields for 7

| | Comments (0)

Nothing brings a young buzz band back into the spotlight like 7-inches and interesting b-sides. Recently, The Killers covered Joy Division's “Shadowplay.” Now The Shins are taking a stab at paying tribute to a (slightly less) old favorite.

It has been reported that indie rock golden boys have recorded the Magnetic Fields’ “Strange Powers” for a 7” U.K. release of “Sea Legs” from their most recent album, Wincing the Night Away. The first 500 copies of the 7” will be signed by the band. The Magnetic Fields cover will also be available for download starting Dec. 3 off the Transgressive Records website.
