If you've had the 92-minute pleasure of seeing Juno, you will certainly have heard Belle & Sebastian's plot-perfect gem "Piazza, New York Catcher." Now the band's already extensive writing credits are burgeoning with new demos for frontman Stuart Murdoch's new film, God Help the Girl.

NME brings news that Murdoch and fellow B&S members are working on the soundtrack while he pursues singers to contribute to the album. The two winners so far will be flown into Glasgow to rehearse and record in early 2008. The musical is scheduled to be filmed in 2009.

Put on your jazz hands and hightail it to the film's MySpace page for more details.
