The Twin City legacy-builders of The Hold Steady are back in their New York studio to record a follow up to 2006’s Boys and Girls in America, according to the band’s website. Some photo documentation is planned for what will be the group’s first recording session time in a relatively long while (in the meantime focusing on promotional tours, goodie bundles and deluxifications.)
Whoever wrote the HS blog update adds, “I've never looked forward to being placed in a giant aquarium with headphones like I have been lately.” The so-far nameless, release-dateless LP will be produced by Boys and Girls mixer John Agnello.
