Come this April 15, nothing will be certain except James McMurtry and taxes. Yes, on the same day that you will wait in line at the post office to submit your yearly financial history to the government, you can also swing by your local record store and pick up the singer-songwriter’s latest album, Just Us Kids.
Backed by his band, The Heartless Bastards, McMurtry’s ninth studio album will also feature the likes of Jon Dee Graham, Ian McLagan and Pat mAcDonald of Timbuk3. This record will also be the acclaimed musician's debut on Nashville’s Lighting Rod Records.
No dates have been set, but a tour is in the works for later this year.
