Radiohead roundup, vol. 3: physical CDs, feuding, etc.

Last time we checked in on those newsworthy Brits in Radiohead, they were releasing advertisements, getting remixed and spouting off on people who just don't understand.

This roundup, then, will sound kind of familiar. The feuding continues, though this time, it's with another newspaper and the band's former label. However, in the hallowed name of the Radiohead roundup, let's do this in a stylistically consistent fashion...

Thom Yorke corrects newspaper, record label:
Following a Times UK story which quotes an EMI spokesperson about certain unreasonable demands made by Radiohead, Yorke expressed the band's collective sadness that "such dirt" had even been printed.

Remember compact discs? Brick and mortar indie-retail stores? No? Well, anyway:
Like some beautiful New Year's present from the band, as of yesterday, Jan. 1, In Rainbows is available in music-retail stores around the globe. For those of you that still put plastic discs on shelves, firstly, bless you, secondly, get to your local independent shop.

Meanwhile, on the interwebs:
As completists and physical-copy-craving music lovers flock to stores to pick up the disc, Radiohead increased its In Rainbows online presence as well. According to a report at Digital Music News, the band has released DRM-free versions of the album on iTunes Plus and lossless FLACs on 7digital.

That's all for this edition of Paste's Radiohead roundup. Tune in next time for more about the band...doing stuff!
