Something’s shoegazing in the state of Denmark. The reunited My Bloody Valentine is slated to perform at the Scandinavian country’s Roskilde festival, which lasts July 3-6 and features other mentionables such as Radiohead and the Chemical Brothers.
Thousands of miles away from most of us, no more within reach than dreams about flying or getting to play onstage with the band (“I’m sorry, ladies and gentlemen, My Bloody Valentine won’t be performing tonight because Kevin Shields broke both his ankles and can’t hit the effects pedals properly. If only there were someone in the crowd who could do it for him... Hey, you there!”), the event comes amid a modest European tour beginning in June. This, just a couple months after an MBV-less Coachella. But judging by the way these gigs have been slowly popping up, one can hope, if one were so inclined, for more.
Say it's so, Shields:
