Miracle Fortress is just about the most evocative band name in the entire world, so it’s fitting that the band’s music shimmers and glistens like a lovely castle in a serene, cloudless sky. Speaking of serene (see what we did there?), it just so happens that Miracle Fortress is touring with The Most Serene Republic and Liam Finn during the month of March.
But you might need more opportunities to catch Graham Van Pelt’s pe(l)t project in action, because who doesn’t want a live dose of “straight-up studio accidents/surprises, FX mush, ambient drones, drum programming, post-rock, classic rock etc.,” as quoted from the band’s MySpace page. Miracle Fortress, which released Five Rose last year, is also touring in Europe with Patrick Watson and has a couple of Canadian dates lined up in November.
Clearly, the revelatory promise of spring presents the perfect circumstances for a bit of Miracle Fortress.
