Showtime's Dexter to be made into murderous videogame

The recent news that a video game version of the TV series Dexter is in the works for both Sony Playstation and Microsoft Xbox is sure to excite fans of the serial killer dramedy. (Including this writer, who, incidentally, recently started watching the first season and just found out the identity of the Ice Truck Killer. If you haven't seen it, it will blow your mind.)

One can only assume that the main point of the game will be to murder people without getting caught, since Ecko Entertainment says that they'll "work closely with Showtime to ensure it is faithful to the series." This is a great lesson for the kids! We wouldn't want them to think there are consequences to their actions, and thank goodness there are video games to show them that murder can be fun.

Ahem.

Regardless of the purpose of the video game, and what it does to the children of our nation, a show that has the ability to make a daily morning routine so horrifyingly violent and sickening is a show that deserves a video game made after it.

Who knew that watching someone make eggs could make your stomach so queasy?

Thanks Pop Candy for the tip!
