Once upon a time, people probably couldn’t have imagined that there would be a sub-genre of television shows related to forensics investigations. But now it seems as if an entirely new television sub-genre is developing, one devoted to that most ubiquitous of concerns: advertising.
AMC’s Mad Men is set in the 1960s and chronicles the life of an advertising executive. But there is now a new show to add to the list (the list, by the way, does not include Banned in America: The World’s Sexiest Commercials 2).
What are we talking about? Well, Truth in Advertising will star Will & Grace alum Eric McCormack and Ed’s Tom Cavanagh. It’s the story of an ad agency confronting the creative side of the business while experiencing corporate success. Cavanagh plays the “more emotional and creative counterpart.” According to Variety, the show will also feature “commercials-within-the-show” as an attempt to fuse the worlds of dramatic, fake advertising and real advertising.
TNT will present the pilot to advertisers (ha!) in May.

I am a big Eric Mccormack fan. For months I waited(and I am sure many other fans)to see him in this show. Now the show comes on and he is not in it. What happened??3
