Entitled 4Real, the eight-part, half-hour series features celebrities like Joaquin Phoenix, Mos Def and M.I.A. traveling around the world to meet with leaders affecting change in a variety of countries that include Haiti, Kenya, and Liberia.
In the episode featuring Mos Def, the mighty Mos visits the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro to speak with MV Bill, the country's #1 rap artist, who empowers favela youth in the community through hip-hop music.
The show will premiere on MTV.ca on April 14 at 8 p.m. 4Real will also air on the National Geographic Channel in 166 other countries and 35 languages, not including Canada, the U.S., or the U.K. There's no word yet on when or if the show will screen in the United States.
