Iron & Wine to release new UK EP, play many festivals

U.K. Iron & Wine fans, rejoice! You are the recipients of a new EP for "Lovesong of the Buzzard," off of last year's The Shepherd's Dog album. Best of all, it's exclusive to your particular sovereign island country. Hazzah!

The three-song Lovesong of the Buzzard EP is slated for release June 2, and includes two non-album tracks—"The Arms of a Thief" and "Serpent Charmer." Both tracks were on Sub Pop's limited-edition expanded version of The Shepherd's Dog LP, if you were lucky enough to get your hands on one.

Europe will be seeing a whole lotta American beard this summer, as well. Sam Beam & Co. will crisscross the continent as a fixture on the summer festival circuit, bookended by short stints in the U.S. for festivals and Beam solo dates that extend into October.
