As Obama and McCain begin conducting VP interviews this week, director Oliver Stone thinks he has already found his own ideal running mate for W, his upcoming film about the Bush Administration. Dreyfuss is in “final negotiations” for the role of Dick Cheney, whom he already bore a passing resemblance to as Michael Douglas’ opponent in 1995’s The American President. In fact, Dreyfuss, an outspoken liberal activist, has been somewhat of a go-to guy for controlling right-wingers, having portrayed Secretary of State Andrew Haig in The Day Reagan Was Shot.
Meanwhile, of the two billion people on this earth who think they can do a good Bush impersonation, Josh Brolin will fill the titular role (sorry, MADtv’s Frank Caliendo), with Elizabeth Banks set to play Laura, Thandie Newton as Condoleezza and James Cromwell as Papa Bush. And, as previously reported, Rob Corddry will portray former White House press secretary Ari Fliescher.

ONE CORRECTION: I AM NOT "A LIBERAL ACTIVIST;" I AM
AN AMERICAN CITIZEN, WHO BELIEVES IN THE SOVEREIGNTY OF THE PEOPLE. I AM NOT A LIBERAL, NOR A CONSERVATIVE. ALL THOSE WORDS ARE OUT OF DATE, BUT THIS ISN'T THE SPACE TO EXPLAIN IT ALL.
