If you're lucky enough to be one of the 70,000 individuals expected to head to Oslo, Norway this August for Øyafestival, we are extremely jealous of you. The roster reads like a "Best of" list of our current favorite artists. Sigur Rós, Cut Copy, Holy Fuck, Okeervil River, The Dodos, Fleet Foxes, Jamie Lidell, Janelle Monáe, Dengue Fever, Dark Meat, Kid Sister, Lykke Li, Lightspeed Championship, Notwist, HEALTH, No Age... the list could go on and on, but instead, head over here, and read it in full.
Oh, and did we forget to mention our all time fave band (of 2007) is playing? That's right, hot off what might be called the biggest tour of the summer (with R.E.M. and Modest Mouse), The National is taking off for Scandinavia.
You're probably thinking "Wow! How could I pass this up? But wait...how much is it?!" Good question, young grasshoppers. However, since we're more writers than mathematicians here at Paste, we can't help you out with the American dollar price. We can tell you that in NOK (the Norwegian currency), a festival pass is 1695, and a day ticket is 565.
This website might come in handy though. We're here to help.
