T.I. to star in MTV reality series

Hot on the trail of the news that the members Velvet Revolver won't become reality TV stars in their search for a new lead singer, comes the news that rapper/house arrestee T.I. will.

T.I., who will release his third album, Paper Trail, on August 12, has announced plans to broadcast his 1,000+ hours of community service on MTV before heading (back) behind bars for a year in early 2009.

Says T.I., "Hopefully the mistakes I’ve made will be a lesson to today’s youth and they won’t go down that same path."
