Our favorite pair of pronouns, apparently unsatisfied with just their own couple of sold-out April dates in New York and L.A., have announced they will take their one volume of songs on a full-fledged North American tour this summer. Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward will embark from Toronto in late July and wind up in D.C. in mid August.
They also recently stopped by Avatar Studios in New York to make an appearance on NPR's World Cafe, recording with Steve Lillywhite and interviewing with David Dye.
Deschanel and Ward, of course, released their collaborative album, Volume One,
March 25 via Merge Records and have been shattering
actress-turned-recording-artist stereotypes into little bits ever
since. In the last few months, we haven't been able to shut up about
Deschanel, but in all fairness, she hasn't been helping us out much.
The indie actress will be appearing in a handful of buzzworthy film
projects like The Go Getter (which Ward scored; it's the film responsible for bringing She & Him together), Divorce Ranch and Gigantic.
Here's hoping the darling duo can keep making time for this project along with all their other pursuits.
