The Faint to release Fasciinatiion, tour

| | Comments (0)

Omaha quintet The Faint is releasing its fifth album, Fasciinatiion, on August 5. It will be the band's first album in four years, and the first album the group has written, recorded, produced, art directed and released completely by itself.

To top it off, the Nebraskans are releasing it on their own, brand-new label, blank.wav. And furthermore, the band recorded the album in its new, self-built recording-and-art studio, Enamel.

The first single off of Fasciinatiion will be “The Geeks Were Right.”

Beginning at the end of the July, the band will be touring extensively in support of Fasciinatiion. Tickets for the shows will go on sale later this week.

Fun fact: Between touring for its last album, Wet From Birth, and starting work on this one, The Faint made a remix for NIN's Year Zero. Bassist Joel Petersen also did a remix as Broken Spindles for Of Montreal’s Satanic Twins remix album.

Fasciinatiion tracklist:

1. Get Seduced
2. The Geeks Were Right
3. Machine in the Ghost
4. Fulcrum and Lever
5. Psycho
6. Mirror Error
7. I Treat You Wrong
8. Forever Growing Centipedes
9. Fish In a Womb
10. A Battle Hymn for Children
