In support of his latest retrospective, the two-disc Dylan, his almost-50-year career and Barack Obama's presidential bid, Bob Dylan announced new tour dates recently, extending his world excursion past its current Eurocentrism and into the U.S.
In other Dylan news, a new autobiography by Dutch artist Jan Cremer, I, Jan Cremer III, claims that the famed two-month period of 1966 during which the singer disappeared from public view was not, as claimed, due to a motorcycle accident that changed his life outlook. According to Cremer, Dylan was in rehab, recovering from having "swallowed, sniffed or injected too much." Cremer, however, issues a caveat for his version of the truth: "Everything I write and say is the truth. My truth." Dylan has not confirmed or denied the charge.

Ah yes. Seattle the big music city, and yet no Washington tour stop in sight.
Hi there !! I live in Alaska. Why aren't there any concerts here?? Juneau, perhaps?
After seeing Dylan at the ACL festival in 2007 I find it hard to believe that anybody is actually lining up to see him anymore. It's like watching a caricature of Dylan rather than the legend himself. It was just so awkward and sad to see. Save you money and your memories. You'll be much happier. If you want to watch a living legend, save your money and your ears and wait for Willie Nelson to come through town. - JS
