Girl Talk unleashes Animals today, heads on tour

You are a tiger. A crazy, starved tiger. At least that’s essentially what Girl Talk’s Greg Gillis said of the title of his new album when Paste caught up with him in May. However, he also said he'd soon have something to nourish you. And it’s available for download now.

Girl Talk’s Feed The Animals was officially released online today (June 19). As previously reported, Gillis is pulling the ol’ Radiohead and letting his fans pay what they want for the album. Except this time there’s a tiered system in place.

Gillis and his Illegal Art label say you have three choices when obtaining Feed The Animals. Any price gets you the album in high quality MP3s. Five dollars or more gets you the album as high quality MP3s and as one long track, because this “is how Gillis intended for people to listen to the album.” And $10 gets you all of this, plus a packaged CD when it’s released on September 23.

So, get to the nearest computer (chances are, if you're reading this, you already have that covered) and download Feed The Animals. With tracks titles like “Shut The Club Down” and “Give Me A Beat,” and more than 300 samples crammed into 55 minutes, Gillis seems to be picking up right where he left off on Night Ripper.

Eat, hungry tiger. Eat. Download Feed The Animals here.
